Help us give a loving home to stray and abandoned animals

Gone But Never Forgotten

Many of you know Winston who has written Winston’s Words in our newsletters for many years. We are sad so say that in May, Winston was put to sleep whilst his Mum, Julie, held him in her arms. Winston had recently enjoyed a holiday in Llandudno with his Mum and Auntie Linda. He had been to see a cardiologist before this as his health was deteriorating.

We must now remember the happy times that Winston had; even when he was at the kennels he had many outings once attending Hayfield Carnival as the Otterspool Mascot. He was a firm favourite with the dog walkers and was often booked up for outings at the weekends. Julie who was to become his Mum came every weekend to walk him and was delighted when she was able to offer him a home. They both had a very happy life together going for long walks and attending our fairs.

Winston loved to be in the limelight and draw the raffle. He also had a large selection of rosettes he had won at our dog shows. Winston was such a happy little dog and touched the hearts of many. It has been said that he was a legend and he certainly was!
