Help us give a loving home to stray and abandoned animals

A Thank You From Us

This year we are sorry to say goodbye to three of our loyal supporters who have decided that the time is right for them to retire.

Linda Paice who first started out as a dog walker for us, many years ago, who then stepped into the breach as a kennel hand when Sue, who also used to work for us, broke her arm. Linda has been an above & beyond duty volunteer as she said she hated cleaning the kennels but knew the job had to be done. She then returned to dog walking duties and working in our charity shop once Sue's broken bones were repaired.

Also Jane and Paul Waterfield left us after running their last Fun Dog Show in August. Thank you to all three of you for everything that you have put into our charity over the years. You will, all three of you, be missed.

On a brighter note and fortunately for us Julie Dixon who many of you may know as the Mum of the “Late & Great Sir Winston of Woodbank” has taken over the job of running our dog shows. Julie is no stranger to these events as she has in the past worked closely with Jane and also on several occasions deputised for her, so don’t panic “The Dog Shows Will Still Go On”. We have lost a lot of helpers during the last few years due to ill health and worse. If you feel you could volunteer either at our events or in our shop please get in touch.

Finally can we say thank you to all our volunteers both past & present, we can’t mention you all by name, so please don’t be offended, all your work is appreciated, you are what makes this charity what it is with the welfare of the animals at heart.
